Why the iOS/Android gap happens at all
Apple's App Store rules for real-money gambling apps are stricter than Google Play's, and getting a UK gambling app approved on iOS involves a specific submission process most operators only bother with once their Android app is already established. That's the practical reason a newer or smaller operator — Lucky Vegas here — can end up with an Android app and nothing native on iOS, while a browser-based site fills the gap.
What a "dedicated app" actually buys you
Beyond the obvious convenience of an icon on your home screen, dedicated apps typically add push notifications, biometric login and slightly faster load times than a mobile browser session, since games and account data can be cached locally. None of that is essential — every operator here also works through a phone's browser — but it does explain why Midnite's biometric login stood out when we tested it.
